Woman Alleges Baby Swapped At Gbagada General Hospital, Seeks Investigation |
A woman has made a disturbing claim on social media, alleging that her sister’s newborn baby was swapped with another child at Gbagada General Hospital in Lagos. The user, @Aggie_lawlaah, shared the story along with a photo to support her claims.
According to the woman, her sister began experiencing labor contractions on December 1 and was induced two days later. The baby was struggling to breathe and was transferred to the NICU for care.
However, things took an unusual turn when, later that evening, the baby’s father was asked to sign a test form, which contained a different name. This raised concerns about the identity of the baby.
On December 5, the family was informed that their baby had passed away and was given a note without the baby’s name. When they went to collect the body, they noticed that the name tag on the baby read “Adefisan baby,” while their family name is “Okolie.”
The woman is now calling for authorities to investigate the incident. She also shared that her sister, being a first-time mother, is deeply affected by the situation.
The hospital has yet to respond to these allegations.
