Labour Party’s 2023 Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, Urges Nigerians to Unite Against Insecurity and Economic Hardship
Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, has issued a clarion call to all Nigerians to take a decisive stand against the rising tide of insecurity and economic hardship gripping the nation.
Highlighting the alarming surge in violent crimes, Obi pointed to recent cases such as the kidnapping of medical students in Benue State and the abduction of a state commissioner and his wife in Edo State. He emphasized that these incidents are a stark reminder of the deteriorating security situation, which demands immediate and collective action.
Obi, who previously served as the Governor of Anambra State, stressed that it is time for Nigerians to declare an all-out war on insecurity. He called for a united and coordinated effort to confront the challenges that threaten the nation’s stability, urging citizens not to succumb to fear but to work together in restoring peace and order.
“The country cannot afford to continue living in constant fear,” Obi remarked. “We must confront these challenges head-on, as a unified force, to secure a better future for our children and generations to come.”
