Chief Benedict Akika, a prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State and founder of the Omituntun Benedict Foundation (OBF), has been reportedly kidnapped. Akika, who is widely recognized for his philanthropic efforts and strong support for Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration, was abducted from his residence at Idi Ape, along Olorunda Abba in Lagelu Local Government Area of Oyo State.

 

The incident reportedly took place late in the evening, sending shockwaves through the local community and the political landscape of Oyo State. Witnesses claim that a group of armed assailants stormed the residence of Chief Akika, forcefully taking him away under unclear circumstances.
