The executive chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has welcomed the residents and workers of Ibadan North Local Government to the month of August.
In a message conveyed through his Head of Media, Aderibigbe Yisahu Ajibola, Hon. Olufade encouraged those wishing to participate in protests to do so peacefully.
He emphasized that the voices of the masses can only be heard through unity and respect, not through vandalism and destruction.
His message reads:
“Dear Residents and Workers of Ibadan North Local Government,
As we step into the new month of August, I, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, your Executive Chairman, extend my warmest greetings to each and every one of you.
August brings with it new opportunities and challenges, and together, we will continue to work towards the betterment of our community. Your unwavering support and cooperation have been the bedrock of our achievements, and I am confident that, with your continued engagement, we can achieve even greater heights.
As we navigate through these challenging economic times, I understand the frustrations and hardships many of us face. I commend those who are exercising their right to protest for better economic conditions and a more prosperous Nigeria.
However, I urge all participants to conduct their protests peacefully and constructively. Let our voices be heard through unity and respect, not through vandalism or destruction. Peaceful protests are a powerful tool for change and development, and together, we can make a difference.
