Olufade, Falana Team Up to Revitalize Yemetu Aladorin Skills Acquisition Center

The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, alongside Hon. Adebowale Falana, Chairman of the Oyo State Youth Development Agency, visited the Yemetu Aladorin Skills Acquisition Center to assess its current status and explore opportunities for enhancement.

The Yemetu Aladorin Skills Acquisition Center, renowned for its comprehensive training programs across various disciplines, has been pivotal in empowering individuals towards self-reliance.

During the visit, Hon. Olufade and Hon. Falana toured several departments including Electrical, Computer, Fashion Designing, Hairdressing, Shoemaking, and Catering, expressing interest in restoring the center to its former operational excellence.

In a statement signed by Aderibigbe Yisahu Ajibola, Head of Media for the Ibadan North Local Government Chairman, both leaders highlighted the potential of revitalizing the center to alleviate unemployment within Oyo State, particularly in Ibadan North Local Government, while also serving as a revenue generation hub.

Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade affirmed his commitment to identifying and nurturing youth talent, empowering them to achieve their aspirations and make meaningful contributions to society. He encouraged trainees to remain steadfast in their pursuits, assuring them of unwavering support.

Echoing these sentiments, Hon. Adebowale Falana reiterated his dedication to fostering productive employment opportunities for Oyo State’s youth. He pledged full support for revitalizing the center, recognizing its potential to benefit both local and state youth initiatives.

The inspection team included key officials from Ibadan North Local Government, including Mr. Akeem Olatunji, Head of Local Government Administration; Alhaja Nojimudeen Kudirat, Director of Education and Social Services; Mr. Kehinde Olasumbo, Director of Budget; Mrs. Abiodun Olatokun, Desk Officer for Education; Mrs. Lala Olufunmike, Information Officer; and Aderibigbe Yisahu, Chairman’s Head of Media, along with Ayodamope Afolabi and Miss Mojisola Elizabeth, members of the media team.
