The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) has invited Nasarawa United and Rivers United to an inquest following incidents that occurred during their Matchday 18 fixture at the Lafia City Stadium on December 22, 2024. Both clubs are scheduled to appear before the NPFL in Abuja on January 10, 2025. In preparation for the session, the NPFL has directed both teams to submit comprehensive reports detailing the incidents by January 5, 2025. The submissions must include:

– Security arrangements put in place for the fixture.
– Any other relevant information related to the events on matchday.
The league’s management emphasized that the inquest is aimed at establishing the facts surrounding the incidents, identifying their root causes, and determining appropriate actions.
