The Nigerian Government has placed the sponsors of the nationwide #EndBadGovernance protests on a watchlist.
This announcement was made by the Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Immigration Services (NIS), Kemi Nandap, during a strategic meeting at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja. The meeting was convened by the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa.
Nandap stated that individuals sponsoring the protests, particularly those in the diaspora, would be arrested immediately upon entering the country.
Additionally, the spokesman for the Department of State Services (DSS), Peter Afunanya, revealed that the agency has identified some of the sponsors and has already blocked several bank accounts associated with the protests.
