Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, welcomed Air Vice Marshal Kolade Ademuwagun, the Air Officer Commanding (AOC) Logistics Command of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), Ikeja, Lagos, during a courtesy visit to the Governor’s Office at the Secretariat in Ibadan. The meeting was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration between Oyo State and the Nigerian Air Force in enhancing security and logistics infrastructure within the region.
Governor Makinde presented a commemorative souvenir to Air Vice Marshal Ademuwagun as a symbol of appreciation for the vital role played by the NAF in supporting regional security and the state’s developmental objectives. The presentation also underscored the governor’s commitment to maintaining a strong relationship with the military to ensure that peace, safety, and effective governance prevail in Oyo State.
Air Vice Marshal Ademuwagun was accompanied by senior NAF officers, including Air Commodore A.G. Akinyimika, the Commanding Officer of the 671 Nigerian Air Force Station, Ibadan, and Air Commodore E. Akintunde, Commander of the Equipment and Supply Depot. The presence of these high-ranking officials highlighted the importance of logistics and supply chain management within the Nigerian Air Force’s operations, especially in Ibadan, where their presence is integral to supporting the state’s security architecture. The visit reaffirmed both parties’ commitment to fostering stronger military-civil cooperation, particularly in areas of logistics, security, and infrastructural support.
