Nigerian social media personality and cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, has initiated a lawsuit against internet activist and influencer VeryDarkMan (VDM), demanding N1 billion in damages for defamation.
The lawsuit, which was announced through a letter from Bobrisky’s legal team shared on her social media platforms, is in response to allegations made by VDM. According to the suit, VDM shared a voice recording online, claiming it was evidence of Bobrisky admitting to bribing officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with N15 million to dismiss money laundering charges against her.
In the legal filing, Bobrisky categorically refutes the allegations, stating that the voice recordings are not genuine and were instead manipulated using advanced AI technology. She asserts that the defamatory content has caused significant harm to her reputation and seeks redress for the alleged damages.
