Oyo State Governor, SEYI MAKINDE has called on youths to embrace the virtues of humility, empathy and ethical leadership qualities in contributing to national growth.
Governor MAKINDE made the call while delivering his lecture at the third convocation ceremony of a private university in Ibadan.
The governor, while stressing that trust deficit has caused growing challenges of corruption, inequality, trust deficit and social unrest in Nigeria, encouraged the graduands to build on accountability in their dealings.
Governor Makinde, who also encouraged the graduands to remain lifelong learners, maintained that the pursuit of knowledge should not end with the completion of their degrees.
The Chancellor of the University later presented an award of leadership excellence to Governor MAKINDE.
