Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has lauded Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo and the Christ Compassion to the Rural World (CCRW) Ministry for bringing the transformative “Ibadan – This is Love” crusade to the city.
Speaking during the event, Governor Makinde praised the ministry’s commitment to uplifting the less privileged and providing support to those in need. Addressing the economic challenges faced by many Nigerians, the governor offered words of encouragement, urging the public to remain hopeful. He quoted from the Book of Psalms, saying, “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning,” to remind attendees that the current hardships are temporary and brighter days lie ahead.
In response, Pastor Ashimolowo expressed gratitude for the governor’s presence and acknowledged the widespread affection Oyo State residents have for Governor Makinde. He noted, “I have never seen a governor as loved as Governor Seyi Makinde,” further highlighting the governor’s strong connection with the people.
The CCRW mission continues its impactful medical outreach, offering free health screenings, doctor consultations, and prescribed medications through an organized network of healthcare professionals. Thousands of individuals have already benefited from these services, underscoring the ministry’s dedication to addressing both spiritual and physical needs.
The final phase of the mission promises continued support, ensuring that many more residents receive essential care and a message of hope during this time of renewal and compassion.
