Governor Seyi Makinde Swears in 48 New Permanent Secretaries, Emphasizes Productivity in Oyo State Civil Service

In a landmark event for the Oyo State public and civil service, Governor Seyi Makinde on Monday swore in 48 new Permanent Secretaries during a ceremony held at the Executive Chambers of the Governor’s Office, Agodi, Ibadan.
Speaking at the event, Governor Makinde emphasized the critical role of the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries in driving efficiency and productivity within the state’s public sector. He noted that the appointees underwent a rigorous selection process to fill existing vacancies, underscoring the administration’s commitment to transparency and merit-based appointments.
The governor charged the appointees to excel in their respective roles, ensuring they justify their appointments. He reiterated the state’s commitment to recognizing and promoting exceptional individuals, particularly in the education and local government sectors.
Acknowledging the efforts of the Head of Service, Mrs. Olubunmi Oni, Governor Makinde lauded her professionalism in overseeing the selection and appointment process.

6 Inspectors-General of Education
6 from the health sector
7 from local government
9 Tutor-Generals
3 Executive Secretaries
1 Surveyor-General
1 from the House of Assembly
