In her post, Karen wrote:
*”I’m going through a divorce with my husband. I have been homeless for a year, and I have suffered both sexually and physically. If anything happens to me, please ask questions or hold accountable the man who brought me to a country where I know no one. He is now trying to take my children away by claiming that I am mentally unstable.”*
She further appealed to her followers and the public, expressing her fear for her life and her children’s well-being:
*”God Almighty bless Nigeria and Africa. My heart is heavy, and I ask for prayers from my fellow Africans. I have been through so much this past year. Please pray for my children and me. If you don’t hear from me again, know that I have been killed. I am not mentally ill, and I don’t do drugs.”*
