former governor of Kogi State, Mr. Yahaya Bello has pleaded with Justice Maryann Anenih of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja to spare him the possession of a landed property in the Maitama district of Abuja as one of the conditions for bail.
It was earlier on Thursday reported that a Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court in Maitama had granted N500 million bail to Bello over allegations of a N110 billion fraud.
Justice Maryann Anenih, ruling on Thursday, approved the bail application on the condition that Bello provides three sureties in like sum, who must be responsible citizens with landed properties in prime areas of the FCT, including Guzape, Wuse 2, Apo, Asokoro, and Jabi.
The judge explained that the sureties are also required to submit two passport photographs each and provide valid means of identification, including their National Identification Number (NIN).
However, this development comes a week after Bello was granted bail by a federal high court in Abuja on a separate case involving alleged money laundering of N80 billion.
