IBEDC Contractors Take to the Streets, Seek Government Intervention

A gathering of outsourced staff of Premier International Procurement Logistics Limited(PIPLL), a company contracted by Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC), converged in the Ibadan, Oyo State, to protest against low salaries and deplorable working conditions.

The protesters, who came from various states such as Oyo, Ogun, Ekiti, Osun and Kwara, marched to the PIPLL office, chanting slogans and displaying placards that highlighted their grievances.

In an interview with the Spokesperson for the protesters Abdul Azeez Kazeem stated that the protest aims at demanding for their right, which includes salary increament, prompt payment and other specific issue.

 

 

Other protesters who are also outsource staffs of the IBEDC express their dissatisfaction and clamour for immediate action

 

 

 

They call on President Bola Tinubu, Governor seyi makinde, Minister for Power; Bayo Adelabu, Trade Union Congress (TUC) and Nigeria Labor Congress (NLC)
