The Ibadan North East local government area of Oyo State, led by Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, has expressed heartfelt condolences to former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Ambassador Taofik Arapaja, following the passing of his mother, Alhaja Limotalah Eniola Oladejo Arapaja, who died on Wednesday at the age of 91.
In a statement issued by the Information Officer to the local government, Ikeoye Adetoro, and signed by the council chairman, Akintayo urged the PDP national leader to find solace in the well-lived life of his late mother and to continue praying for the repose of her soul.
The statement read in part:
“Our hearts go out to our leader, the late Alhaja Limotalah’s children, and the Arapaja families on the demise of their mother and grandmother, Alhaja Limotalah Eniola Oladejo Arapaja, who answered the ultimate call yesterday, Wednesday, June 26, 2024.
“There are few tragedies as personal as the passing of a beloved family member. The grief leaves a vacuum that cannot be filled, and we are only left with the legacy they left behind and the memories we have of them.
No doubt, Ibadan North East local government and the PDP have been inspired over the years by Ambassador Arapaja’s unwavering commitment to family values and the deep connection he shared with his loved ones, especially his beloved mother.
“On behalf of my family and the good people of Ibadan North East local government, I hereby express my heartfelt condolences to the entire family.
“May God grant the soul of the departed eternal rest and the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
