Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, warmly welcomed the 2024 Batch B Stream 2 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members to the council during a reception at the Council Secretariat in Agodi, Ibadan.
The Corps members, who had successfully completed their mandatory three-week orientation at the Iseyin camp, were posted to Ibadan North Local Government for their one-year national service. Hon. Olufade, in his remarks, expressed his delight at receiving the Corps members, describing Ibadan North as the pacesetter among the 33 local government areas in Oyo State. He encouraged the Corps members to embrace the opportunity to contribute positively to the community and leave a lasting impact.
In a statement signed by Aderibigbe Yisahu Ajibola, Head of Media to the Chairman, Hon. Olufade emphasized the importance of diligence and commitment during their service year. He assured the Corps members of the council’s dedication to their welfare, reaffirming that their well-being and security would be a top priority throughout their stay.
The reception was attended by key local government officials, including Hamdy Mustapha, Chief of Staff of Ibadan North Local Government; Mr. Akeem Olatunji, Head of Local Government Administration; Alhaja Najimdeen Qudrat, Director of Education and Social Services; Aderibigbe Yisahu Ajibola, Head of Media to the Chairman; Ayo Elemo, Personal Assistant to the Chairman; and Ayodamope Afolabi, a member of the media team.
