Mr. Emmanuel Awhen, the Uyo Zonal Commander for NAPTIP, shared this update with newsmen in Uyo today, confirming that Divine has now been safely reunited with his family.
According to Awhen, Divine was abducted on September 1, 2023, while playing with his elder brother in their compound in Port Harcourt. The individual responsible for the abduction has yet to be apprehended, and investigations are ongoing to bring the perpetrator to justice.
The successful recovery of Divine underscores NAPTIP’s commitment to combating human trafficking and child abduction in Nigeria.
