The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, has initiated the construction of a perimeter fence at the back section of the Ido Local Government Secretariat to enhance security and improve the aesthetics of the administrative headquarters.
Speaking during the foundation-laying ceremony, Hon. Adeojo stated that the project is part of his administration’s commitment to providing infrastructural development and ensuring that the council secretariat is adequately protected. He emphasized the need for the secretariat to maintain a distinct boundary from the surrounding residential areas.
“The administrative headquarters of Ido Local Government deserves to have a well-defined perimeter that enhances its appearance and ensures that it stands without interference from passersby. As we continue to address infrastructural needs in other parts of the local government, it is equally important to focus on the fencing of the secretariat,” Hon. Adeojo remarked.
He further noted that differentiating the council’s seat of power from the surrounding neighborhoods is essential for maintaining order and safeguarding the administrative activities carried out within the premises.
The foundation-laying ceremony was attended by key members of the Ido Local Government administration, including the Leader of the Legislative House, Hon. Adebowale Adedeji, other members of the legislative council, the Chief of Staff, supervisors, and special assistants to the Chairman. Their presence signified the administration’s collective support for the project, which is expected to be completed within a specified timeframe.
The fencing initiative is one of several projects spearheaded by the current administration to improve infrastructure and the overall environment within the local government area.
