Lagelu Chairman, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen Launches “Light Up Our Schools” Initiative
In a strategic effort to enhance the security and safety of educational institutions, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, has officially launched the “Light Up Our Schools” initiative at Ifesowapo Community High School, Wofun. The program was inaugurated during the school’s inter-house sports event on Wednesday.
Chairman Kamorudeen first announced the initiative a few weeks ago during the commissioning of new classroom blocks, facilitated by Rep. Akinmoyede Olafisoye in Lalupon. The program is focused on installing reliable solar-powered night lighting systems in schools throughout the local government area, addressing critical safety concerns related to inadequate lighting in school environments at night.
The initiative aims not only to illuminate educational facilities but also to enhance security and deter potential threats, ensuring a safer learning environment for students and staff.
