The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North-East Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, has expressed his heartfelt condolences over the passing of Oba Adebimpe Gbadamosi, the Osi Balogun Olubadan of Ibadanland. Describing the death as a personal loss, Hon. Akintayo shared his deep sorrow and admiration for the late monarch.
In a statement, Hon. Akintayo highlighted his profound respect and affection for Oba Gbadamosi, noting the significant impact of the monarch’s fatherly advice on numerous occasions. He emphasized the deep bond between Oba Gbadamosi and the Akintayo family.
“I am deeply saddened by the passing of Oba Adebimpe Gbadamosi, a man who was like a father to me. His demise is a personal loss, and I will miss his wise counsel and guidance,” Hon. Akintayo said.
Hon. Akintayo extended his condolences to the immediate family of the late monarch, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, and the entire Ibadanland community, acknowledging the profound loss they have all experienced.
“Oba Gbadamosi’s death is a great loss to Ibadanland and the entire Yoruba race. He was a respected leader and a champion of our culture and traditions. His legacy will live on in our hearts,” Hon. Akintayo added.
He prayed for the peaceful repose of the monarch’s soul and for strength and fortitude for his family and the entire Ibadanland community to bear the irreparable loss.
