The Executive Chairman of Ibadan Northeast Local Government Area of Oyo State, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, has joined millions in congratulating the Muslim Ummah on this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival.
In a message, Hon. Akintayo extended his heartfelt congratulations to Muslims and prayed for Allah to accept their prayers and acts of devotion during this sacred period. He emphasized that Eid, according to the scriptures, is not just about festivities but also about practicing patience and showing compassion in all circumstances.
“Eid-el-Kabir symbolizes sacrifice, faith, and adherence to the will of the Almighty,” Akintayo said. He acknowledged the sacrifices that both Muslims and Christians have made in the past year in supporting Governor Seyi Makinde-led PDP administration and urged for continued prayers and support for the governor as he strives to set the state on a path of growth and development.
“On behalf of my family and the Ibadan Northeast Local Government, I wish all our Muslim brothers and sisters in my local government and Oyo State a happy and peaceful Eid-el-Kabir celebration,” said Akintayo. “As we celebrate today, we must ensure that we extend good tidings of support and charity to one another, especially those in difficulties.”
He called for steadfastness, unity, and faith in the developmental agenda of Governor Makinde’s administration. “Let us remain steadfast, united, and continue to have faith in the developmental agenda of the Governor Seyi Makinde-led People’s Democratic Party administration.”
“May Almighty Allah make us witness more of it in life with peace, success, wealth, long life, and prosperity in good health. AMIN. Barka da Sallah and Happy Eid-el-Kabir,” Akintayo added.
