The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction has discredited reports circulating on social media about a purported Federal Government N50,000 Child Support Grant for Nigerian parents. The ministry clarified that the claim is false and advised the public to disregard the information.

In a statement issued today in Abuja, the ministry’s Director of Information, Mrs. Rhoda Iliya, emphasized that the Federal Government is not associated with any such initiative. She warned parents to remain vigilant against fraudsters attempting to exploit the public with fake registration portals and false promises.

Mrs. Iliya assured citizens that any genuine programme undertaken by the ministry would be accompanied by proper awareness campaigns and official announcements through verified channels. She urged the public to report suspicious activities and rely only on official government platforms for accurate information.
