The Department of State Services (DSS) has detained seven foreigners in Kano State for allegedly raising the Russian flag during ongoing protests. The demonstrations, which began on Thursday, August 1st, are slated to continue until August 10th unless the government addresses the protesters’ concerns.
The protests have turned violent, particularly in the northern regions of the country, leading to numerous arrests, including several Polish nationals. Security agents have been active in detaining participants involved in escalating the unrest.
