The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, has extended heartfelt condolences to the Theater Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) following the passing of veteran Nollywood actor, Otunba Ayobami Mudashir Olabiyi, widely known as ‘Bobo B’.
Olabiyi, who was a former Governor of TAMPAN in Oyo State and served as the association’s National Secretary, passed away in Ibadan, Oyo State, after a brief illness. He was a cherished figure in the Nigerian film industry, known for his significant contributions both on and off the screen.
In a condolence message personally signed by Akintayo and shared with journalists in Ibadan, the Council Chairman expressed deep sorrow over the actor’s death, describing it as a shocking and devastating loss. He praised Bobo B for his memorable performances, noting that he brought joy and laughter to countless homes through his unique acting style.
Akintayo encouraged TAMPAN and the late actor’s family to find solace in the impactful life he led, particularly in the film industry. He highlighted that Bobo B’s legacy will endure through the fond memories and the comic relief he provided in his numerous roles.
Concluding his message, Akintayo prayed for the repose of Bobo B’s soul, asking Almighty Allah to grant him Aljanah Firdaus.
