Ajayi Crowther University Declares Three Days of Mourning, Denies Cultism in Student’s Death

Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, has announced a three-day period of mourning, including fasting and prayers, for a student who was allegedly beaten to death by fellow students.

 

During a press conference held on campus, Vice-Chancellor Professor Timothy Adebayo disclosed that 12 suspects have been taken into police custody at the CID in Iyaganku, Ibadan.

 

Addressing rumors, Professor Adebayo firmly denied any involvement of cultists, emphasizing that the university has no history of cultism in its entire existence.

 

The Vice-Chancellor also mentioned that a school delegation has visited the deceased student’s parents to offer condolences and prayers for strength in this difficult time. He assured that the university has implemented measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
