Governor Adeleke’s Pardon for Convicted Chicken Thieves Set for Finalization

The release of convicted individuals Segun Olowookere and Sunday Morakinyo, recently pardoned by Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, is set to be finalized on Monday.

According to the Monsurat Ajoke Foundation, which has been actively advocating for Olowookere’s release since his sentencing, the finalization of the documents will pave the way for their freedom. Speaking to journalists, the foundation noted that once the process is completed, the duo is expected to return to their hometown of Okuku either the same day or by Tuesday.

The foundation expressed gratitude to Governor Adeleke for granting the convicts pardons, highlighting his commitment to justice and rehabilitation. The move reflects the governor’s willingness to extend clemency and provide a fresh start for those deserving of a second chance.
