Olufade Launches Under-18 Football Competition in Ibadan North LGA 

The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has officially inaugurated the highly anticipated Under-18 Football Competition.

The opening ceremony, held on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at the University College Hospital (UCH) football field, was attended by notable dignitaries, including the Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Seyi Makinde, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DON), Oyo State PDP Youth Leader and Acting Publicity Secretary, Hon. Ogunsina Michael Ogunsina, Ibadan North Local Government Chief of Staff, Hamdy Mustapha, Hon. Joshua Oladapo, and Special Adviser to the Chairman on Education, Oloye Ademola Titilopemi Ajibola.

The competition, featuring 16 football teams, promises to showcase young talents within the local government area. The ceremonial kick-off, led by Hon. Olufade and his esteemed guests, marked the start of an exciting tournament aimed at nurturing grassroots sports an d fostering youth engagement.

The opening match saw United Star FC take on Adex FC, setting an energetic tone for the tournament. Updates on the competition will be aired daily at 7 AM on **Lagelu 96.6 FM** and **Fresh FM 105.9**, ensuring residents remain informed and engaged.

Adeagbo Sulaimon Olayode, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating:
