Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to ensuring the safety of lives, properties, and businesses in the state. He assured both existing and potential investors that his government remains committed to fostering a secure and conducive environment for business growth.

The governor made these remarks on Thursday during the commissioning of Hybrid Heights, a new entertainment hub in Ibadan. He emphasized his administration’s alignment with visionary investors and the continuous effort to create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, the governor noted, “We create the enabling environment, and businesses will thrive. Congratulations to my brother, Dr. Adesina Adedeji, the visionary behind this magnificent edifice. This aligns perfectly with our vision for Oyo State.”

Governor Makinde highlighted his administration’s focus on tourism and solid minerals development as integral components of the state’s economic growth strategy.

“After our first four years, we realized the significant contribution tourism and hospitality could make to the state’s GDP. This investment is proof that our vision is working,” he said.

To complement this vision, the governor stated that the government has been rehabilitating inner roads across the state, including the Ojoo-UI Highway, which connects to the new hub.

“We are fixing the road from Dugbe through Mokola, Premier Hotel, Sango, and UI. From there to Beere, and soon from UI to Ojoo, will all be rehabilitated. Ibadan is fast becoming a playground for Lagos residents, and the demand for hotels here is a clear sign that our economy is improving. We will continue to create an enabling environment for businesses,” he assured.

Governor Makinde praised Dr. Adesina Adedeji, CEO of Hybrid Heights, for creating 100 employment opportunities through the venture.

“When we say we aim to create employment for our youths, this is what we mean. While the government has limited capacity for direct employment, thriving businesses like this have unlimited potential to absorb our youths,” he said.

He further committed to providing security for the area, stating, “We will ensure that either Operation Burst or Amotekun is stationed nearby to guarantee safety.”

In his remarks, Dr. Adesina Adedeji commended Governor Makinde for prioritizing tourism and economic development through infrastructure projects that benefit investors. He pledged his continued support for the governor’s vision of expanding Oyo State’s economy through tourism and hospitality.

The event was graced by top government officials, reflecting the administration’s commitment to fostering partnerships with private investors for sustainable development.
