The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to ten protesters accused of intimidating President Bola Tinubu’s administration by allegedly attacking government infrastructure and engaging in other disruptive activities. The protesters, who were charged with various offenses related to the nationwide #EndBadGovernance protest, were each granted N10 million bail by Justice Emeka Nwite on September 11, 2024, bringing the total bail amount to N100 million.
According to the charge sheet read to Michael Tobiloba Adaramoye and nine others at the Federal High Court, Abuja, on September 2, 2024, the defendants were accused of committing offenses including:
– Attacking government infrastructure
– Inciting violence and unrest
– Disturbing public peace
– Engaging in unlawful assembly
The protesters were arrested during the nationwide #EndBadGovernance protest, which aimed to draw attention to various issues affecting the country.
