On Friday, the newly elected Executive Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Mudashiru Kamorudeen, officially took office during a swearing-in ceremony held at the House of Chiefs, Oyo House of Assembly Complex, Agodi, Ibadan.
Kamorudeen recited the oath of office to become Lagelu Chairman and later proceeded to Iyana-Offa, where he inaugurated and administered the oath of office to his 14 councilors.
The event saw an estimated thousands of people gathering at the local government secretariat to welcome the new chairman with enthusiasm and celebration.
In his inaugural address, Chairman Kamorudeen announced the formation of an Advisory Committee and a Development Planning and Research Committee to ensure the effective administration of his tenure. He appointed Hon. Jide Adeniran, a former Lagelu chairman, as the head of the Advisory Committee. The head of the Development Planning Committee will be announced soon, according to the chairman.
Kamorudeen emphasized the importance of these committees in providing strategic guidance and fostering development within Lagelu Local Government. He expressed confidence that these initiatives will enhance the overall governance and improve the quality of life for the residents of Lagelu.
