NNPC Limited Partners with Afreximbank to Revolutionize Healthcare in West Africa

In a landmark collaboration, NNPC Limited has joined forces with the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) to establish the African Medical Centre of Excellence (AMCE), a state-of-the-art medical facility in Abuja. This cutting-edge healthcare complex is poised to transform the medical landscape in Nigeria and West Africa, specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of oncology, haematology, and cardiology diseases.

Recently, NNPC Limited’s Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Dapo Segun, accompanied industry leaders and Afreximbank’s President, Dr. Benedict Oramah, on a high-level tour of the AMCE facility. This strategic partnership underscores NNPC Limited’s commitment to improving healthcare outcomes in the region.

As an equity investor in the AMCE project, NNPC Limited is set to play a pivotal role in the facility’s development and operations. The project has already created approximately 3,000 jobs during its construction and operational phases, with commercial operations slated to commence on June 5, 2025.
