Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has guaranteed that the durability of urban renewal projects his administration embarked on would serve the state for the next 25 to 30 years.
Governor Makinde gave the assurance at the Christmas Carol Service and Nine Lessons, organized by the state government, held at the Remembrance Arcade, Agodi, Ibadan on Sunday.
Governor Makinde said the road upgrading projects which will soon be extended to other zones of the state, are of high quality that eight future administrations will not need to include them in their budgets.
The Governor while emphasizing the need for thanksgiving in every situation, appreciated fathers of faith for interceding through prayers, which, according to him gave Oyo state strength and victory over turbulent 2024.
In his word of exhortation, Bishop Wale Oke, said Jesus birth indicated God’s sent light to the world to dispel darkness caused by iniquities, and offering humanity a path to redemption and salvation.
Invited fathers of faith from different denominations offered special prayers for Governor Makinde, his family and everything that concern the state including widows and the less privileged.
The service was thrilled with Bible readings, melodious song presentations, and Christmas fireworks display, which illuminated the night sky with arrays of colors and patterns.
